In this course students are introduced to a range of writing styles in order to explore and discuss the power of the written word.

Students have the opportunity to engage with texts of their choice as they explore the ways in which authors construct features such as character and setting.

Students also engage in academic analysis of a range of text types such as film, poetry and short stories. In doing so, they build reading and writing skills that will not only enhance their English studies, but also prepare them for Literature as an elective in their senior school years
