EXTENSION MATHS - METHODS
Year 10 Extension Mathematics allows higher achieving students to be well prepared for a Mathematics Methods/Specialist course in Year 11 and 12.
Students will be encouraged to answer more enriched mathematical questions, as well as covering the basics. It is assessed against Vic Curriculum in the areas of:
- Number and Algebra
- Measurement and Geometry
- Statistics and Probability
Students are also encouraged to complete Year 11 General Mathematics or Year 11 Maths Methods (consultation with the Domain Leader is required) as part of their Year 10 subjects while studying this course.
A CAS calculator is ESSENTIAL for this subject.
