Theatre Production Program
The Theatre Program is open to students from Years 7 to 9 to develop their performance and theatre production skills. The program will run once a week on Wednesday afternoons from 3:15pm to 4:30pm in the College Theatre and Dance studio.
The aim of the program is to develop students’ vocal, dance and acting abilities, both solo and ensemble, as well as an understanding of backstage and stagecraft elements.
Throughout Term 1, the Theatre Enhancement Program will build the skills to allow students to devise a small production which will be rehearsed and performed in Term 2.
From Term 3 onwards, students will be offered the opportunity to improve their audition and performance skills and knowledge, which will assist students in preparing for future performance opportunities.
The Theatre program will run in 2020, and will then be replaced by the College’s 2021 whole school Musical Production.
