Dromana College is committed to recognising and rewarding all fields of endeavour. In 2024, the College is offering Academic, Sporting and General Excellence Scholarships to support students who are enrolled in the College for Year 7 2024.

CONDITIONS
Only Students who have received an acceptance letter from Dromana College are eligible to apply for one of the Scholarships listed below.
SCHOLARSHIPS PROCESS STEPS
- Apply for a Dromana College Academic, Sporting or General Excellence Scholarship by completing the expression of interest at the bottom of this page.
- Refer to any further instruction received from Dromana College admissions after the application is submitted
- Dromana College will contact you by email to offer you an interview time. If your interview needs to be rescheduled please phone 5987 2805.
- Bring to the interview; current school report, teacher endorsement, portfolio of photo/details showing wider school and community involvement.
- All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their interview via email.
What is the ACADEMIC scholarship?
The Academic Scholarship is aimed at supporting talented students with a strong record of academic performance in their chosen subject and who can demonstrate contribution to their school or the wider community.
Scholarships available in the areas of:
- Science/STEM
- Art and Design
- Music
- Humanities/Integrated Studies/Enquiry
- Health and PE
- Languages
- Mathematics
The Academic Scholarships provide assistance with items which are outside of standard curriculum provision, including instrumental music tuition and enhancement programs for the first 3 years of secondary schooling if you maintain an outstanding academic record.
What is the Sporting scholarship?
The Sporting Scholarship is aimed at supporting talented students with a strong record and performance within sport, while also demonstrating a contribution to their school or the wider community.
Recipients of this Scholarship are expected to achieve excellence in our four school values:
- Respect
- Responsibility
- Personal best
- Integrity
The Sporting Scholarships provide the choice of assistance with items which are outside of standard curriculum provision, including instrumental music tuition and enhancement programs or provides a $500 laptop voucher (to be used to purchase a laptop from the College supplier)
What is the General Excellence Scholarship?
The General Excellence Scholarship is awarded to students who not only demonstrate outstanding academic performance but also contribute to the wider school/local community.
Recipients of this Scholarship are expected to achieve excellence in our four school values.

The General Excellence Scholarships provides the choice of assistance with items which are outside of standard curriculum provision, including instrumental music tuition and enhancement programs or provides a $500 laptop voucher (to be used to purchase a laptop from the College supplier)
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUBMIT
ACADEMIC Scholarship
Please attach a half page written summary that demonstrates how you have excelled in your chosen subject.
Discuss how you demonstrate the school values in your everyday life (submit one typed page that details this).
You may wish to submit supporting achievement documentation.
Sporting scholarship
Please attach a written summary that demonstrates how you perform and excel in sport.
Discuss what our school values mean to you and how you live with these values in your sporting life (submit one typed page that details this).
You may wish to submit supporting sporting achievement documentation.
General Excellence scholarship
Discuss what these values mean to you and how you live with these values (submit one typed page that details this).
